First Day of NANOWRIMO

Are you still recovering from your sugar high, or did you get something written today?

Those of you on the East Coast still without power or a real internet connection will probably get reacquainted with your notebook and pencil/pen.  But it’s not a bad thing!  Writing your first draft out by hand gives your head more time to think about the scene.  Transcribing it can sometimes add to the recall, helping you paint a clearer picture the first time around.  However you get it all done, good luck.  Remember the key to being a writer as a career as opposed to a hobby is dedicating time for it.  If it is your job, naturally you are going to have to have time set aside for it weekly.  Part or full time is up to you, but remember, it’s a job.
